Customers who have regular, intercompany mail movements can be supplied with re-useable mail bags. Made from tough vinyl, the mail bags are built to last several years of use. This completely eliminates packaging waste between company locations.

GTEX is phasing out all packaging supplies that rely on petro-chemical manufacture (plastics). Our new packaging range of GT-EX Evolution packaging is based on the use of recyclable cardboard. This new packaging supports GTEX's re-use policy. Each packaging item is manufactured so that by simply reversing the packaging, the item becomes readily available for a 2nd use before recycling. All vehicles operated by GTEX are late model Volkswagen TDi Diesels. The VW diesel was selected as giving the greatest fuel economy and serviceability. Test have shown that a one tonne VW T5 transporter has nearly twice the fuel efficiency of it's petrol driven equivalent. More information of the great range of VW diesels can be viewed here.

In-line with our vehicle selection program is a compatible maintenance program that ensures all our vehicles are operating at maximum efficiency. A natural enhancement to our fuel efficiency and emissions reduction program.

GTEX has completely eliminated the multi part consignment note from our booking system. All customer bookings are now completed on our web-based enterprise system. Consignment details can now be printed on a single A4 paper sheet or on a carbonless thermo label.

Where practical, GTEX plans our routes to reduce unnecessary distance travelled. We operate a two cycle route system that sets our vehicles on established routes while still maintaining a flexible response time to our customer needs.
